Black and White

I recommend Azonto By Tamaki College

I would recommend this film  because there are fantastic dance  movements involved within it, and the way the actors/actresses put themselves in different parts of the background is very effective.

Technicraft

Every Wednesday a class of room eight students travelled on a bus  to Edgewater technology course.
As we entered the class college, for sewing as part of our  Mrs scott asked us to go and greet our sewing machine.(Bernina) Bernina is a sewing machine coloured white with so many buttons which you would wish to push.
Secondly Mrs Scott then gave out a paper which had ruled and curved lines. Room eight all had to practice without a thread by sewing the ruled lines on the paper.A while later Mrs scott introduces us to another teacher. (Mrs Barrot)Mrs Barrot was one of the best teachers that I have ever meet during my sewing lessons.
Mrs Scott said to everybody that we should do our best if we want to earn our licens. To earn our licens we all had to sew our paper into the sewing  machines as gentaly as we could. While we were doing the task room eight had to leave the room and go to the cooking room because our time was up.

We all had a great time doing sewing and it was a lot of fun because not many machines broke down at all.At the end of the day  room eight have at least completed  a task that was given to us at the start of the day. We all had a great time with Mrs Scott and Mrs Barrot.

Stars

You may think the stars are gone in the day but they aren't because the stars still remain in the same position. The reason why we can’t see the stars in the day sky is because the reflection of the sun is so bright that it blocks the light from the stars - making them visible only in the night time.

New Zealand Flag

Learning Intention:
We are learning how to identify and discuss the features of the New Zealand Flag and  Identify how we are all United under one Hemisphere.

The four red stars on the right hand side of the New Zealand flag  represent the four bright  stars in the Southern Cross (Crux).  This constellation is seen in the Southern Hemisphere in  New Zealand all year round.  In the top left hand corner of the flag  is the also Union Jack showing our connection as a member of the commonwealth with on Great Britain. I think the blue background represents the oceans that surround New Zealand.
I interpret the idea that we are united under Southern Skies as meaning that in Aotearoa there are many cultures that come from many places and that together we are united under the Southern Cross in the Southern Hemisphere.
